How does the way we get our political news determine what political party we belong too?

Does the way we get our political news really shape our political beliefs?
how is the internet different from television?
how is radio different from the internet?
how is the newspaper different from both a television broadcast and an internet website?
just your general opinion…
My political affiliation are determined by what I’m seeing happening. The news has little to do with it although I watch Fox news I don’t necessarily believe everything that I hear. I watch the news they reinforce my beleifs and they make me think that I chose the right party. For example look at the way the country is right now. The democrats wants to add more people into the system while republicans are strongly appose to that idea they want a plan that the country can afford and not doomed America with more social programs that it cannot afford. Matters like that influence my opinion in choosing a political party.
